How to make reusable food wrap

We are very excited to add into our posts our first DIY video!

We are keen into helping creating ideas on how to look after our environment. We all know plastic is something we should try to avoid as much as we can.

To create REUSABLE wrap is a good way to get rid of cling film or plastic containers.

What you need

Bee wax bars or shredded beewax
Grater
Fabric (use cotton, thickness of a bed sheet)
pinking shears
Iron
Baking paper

Method

Wash and dry your fabric.
Cut the fabric with the pinking shears, this will avoid the fabric to fray.
Grate your beewax bar if it is not already shredded.
Place a piece of baking paper, bigger than the fabric,
Put the fabric on top and start distributing the grated bee wax until is even.
Add on top another piece of baking paper that will cover all the fabric.
Heat your iron (make sure steam option is off)
Iron the area carefully until beewax has melted.
Let it dry for a couple of minutes.
Peel off the baking paper and voila! It is done!

Remember it is REUSABLE, but you will need to wash it with soap and water after you use it to avoid food contamination.
