Halloween preparations

Time has come to start preparing for Halloween. This is a festival especially for children, and in table a la mode we like to involve them with their ideas and preparations. Halloween is just in few days but we have already started to plan the party, the decorations and gathering ideas.

It would not feel like Halloween if there isn't Witches cupboard ingredients on the table. Ideally, we would have put them in different glass containers but children would not be safe playing with them. So plastic must be.

This are our ingredients:

-Dragon's blood- Red Water beads in red water

-Princess' milk teeth- Pearl jelly beans

-Boiled eyes- Selection of eyes from a sweet shop

-Giant's snot- mini polistirine balls and green paint with PVA glue

-Spiders- just plastic spiders and some of their legs. 

-Witches all spice brew mix- anise star, nutmeg, cloves, bay leave and oregano

-Unicorn poo- pearl candy balls to decorate cakes.

-Mermaid tears- jelly made with blue colouring and dishwasher liquid

-Owl's feather- feathers from a craft store.

My son has loved mixing the ingredients up and deciding and writing their names. 

Next, we are beginning to plan how to set up the table, so visit us on Wednesday! 

At the moment, we are trialling orange napkin, feather, Dracula's teeth as napkin holder and confetti!
